
Omar Mulamekic
Omar Mulamekic is an Associate Attorney at Redmond Law PLLC whose practice focuses on construction, commercial, and real estate litigation. He represents developers, owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and businesses in complex disputes involving breach of contract, construction defects, delay and disruption claims, payment disputes, mechanics’ liens, RPAPL 881 access proceedings, and other construction-related matters.
Mr. Mulamekic manages all phases of litigation from pre-suit strategy through trial and appeal. His experience includes drafting and arguing dispositive and discovery motions, directing all aspects of discovery, conducting depositions, negotiating settlements, and appearing regularly before New York state and federal courts. He also advises clients on contract drafting and negotiation, construction risk management, and dispute avoidance, helping clients navigate legal issues throughout every stage of a construction project.
Prior to joining Redmond Law PLLC, Mr. Mulamekic practiced at several nationally recognized law firms, where he represented financial institutions, commercial clients, and one of the nation’s largest telecommunications companies in complex commercial, real estate, and construction-related litigation. His experience spans mortgage foreclosure litigation, title disputes, New York Labor Law claims, premises liability, construction defect litigation, contract disputes, and appellate practice, providing him with a broad litigation background that benefits clients facing high-stakes business disputes.
Mr. Mulamekic earned his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in Government and Politics from St. John’s University. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Fluent in Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin, and Serbian, and proficient in Spanish.
