Jennifer Redmond


Ms. Redmond is the founder and principal of Redmond Law PLLC.  Ms. Redmond's practice focuses on Construction Law, Commercial Litigation and Real Estate.  She represents owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, construction managers, sureties, architects and engineers in all aspects of construction including contract drafting, litigation, arbitration, mediation, claims preparation, insurance, bonding and labor disputes on public and private construction projects.


Ms. Redmond advises clients proactively on all aspects of construction matters from pre-bid to contract phases through completion, including drafting, reviewing and revising contracts and preparing, analyzing and litigating construction claims involving extra work, delays, non-payment, loss of productivity, acceleration, changed conditions, bond claims, mechanics' liens, labor disputes, insurance and coverage claims on public, private and not-for-profit construction projects.  Ms. Redmond's in-depth knowledge of all aspects of a construction project provides her clients with the necessary groundwork to complete timely and profitable projects.  Ms. Redmond understands that the balance between the economics of the construction project and the legal protections each project requires. 



Ms. Redmond teaches Construction Law and Legal Affairs for the New York City School Construction Authority's Advanced Mentorship Program.  She also teaches Construction Law for the Small Business Services for the City University of New York and has taught at Columbia University in their Construction Management Program for minority and women based construction companies.  In addition, she teaches Continuing Legal Education for the Construction Group with New York County Lawyers' Association and the Asian American Bar Association of New York.  Ms. Redmond has been a speaker and panelist for the Federal Department of Transportation, Office of Civil Rights on "Partnering With Communities on Major Projects to Assure Success in DBE Participation, Diversity in Employment and Workforce Development." (New York, NY; Louisville, KY; Honolulu, HI; Atlanta, GA).  

Ms. Redmond earned her Bachelors of Arts from the State University of New York at Geneseo and her Juris Doctor from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where she served as the Managing Editor of the Journal of International and Comparative Law. Ms. Redmond is admitted to practice law in New York State and the United States District Court of New York, Southern and Eastern Districts.
